I stayed here for 9 Nights. 7th floor, Superior Room - Paradise Wing. The cheapest of all the rooms, and was amazing for the price I paid through Agoda.
All the staff were extremely polite, and helpful.
Especially the doormen and recieption staff.
I think they had there own taxi drivers, just told the doormen where we were going and they shouted on the group of men always standing outside, no need for haggeling taxi prices was told the prices it should have been, One even got us frount row tickets for Simon Cabaret.
Only negative is, the fridge is FULL of drink, so i took it all out to that i could fill the fridge with water, and the housemaid charged us for it all, when it was clearly sitting ontop of the fridge. Housemaid also, binned a ticket we had for Rock City, free drinks.
And binned a few drawings that i was working on.. Agggh. But i cant really complain the place was that much of a mess no wonder she just binned everything that was lieing out. Maid was also very polite and helpful.
Also visited the Casablanca Restaurant at the pool. PAKORA WAS SOOO GOOD.
Got Chicken Tikka Masala. Also Good.. But was so full from the pakora i couldnt hardly touch it.
All over it loved my stay, and i loved all the friendly staff.
:D
p.s The pool could do with a re-tiling. AND, Booking with Agoda.. They said if the credit card you paid for the booking with wasnt yours, and you wouldnt have it with you. You had to Fax them a copy of ur card and stuff so that you could book in at hotel without credit card. Did all this, with no fax reply. Got to the hotel and they knew nothing about it, just told us deposit was 2,000 bhat. Fishy? I dont know.

Although the hotel location is not as good as Holiday Inn, it's just a short stroll away from banga road, night markets, beach, Juncelyon shopping center and restaurants. Near enough & away from the noise & not too in the face, even though from the corridor walk to our room, we can see go-go boy bars with boys stripping down to their trunks dancing at the balcony. Sound proofing is quite good as I cant hear anything in the room.
Hotel room is perfect for us. We had a deluxe room with triple sharing and the room is still spacious. Feels new & very clean. Pool is beautiful and had a swim up bar serving delicious mixed fruit juices. We love the jacuzzi in sun bed style. The first impression of a dated and aged hotel lobby and reception is quickly forgotten after all these. Breakfast was okay.
We found a small place for massage in one of the street right outside the hotel and it's very value for money. 200 Baht for 45 mins if I remember correctly. Phones call at internet cafes just outside the hotel is like 10 times cheaper than calling from the hotel reception.

The room was better than I have expected. I think my family and I are lucky to have been assigned to one of the newly furnished rooms. The hotel staff were very friendly and nice. The location is also very good. Ten to twenty minutes walk to Patong beach. Also, a few minutes walk to the biggest shopping centre at Patong, the Jungcelyon. However, one bad thing is that. There is one Mamasan boys bar opposite the hotel. It can get noisy at night. If you are really tired, you will still fall asleep even if there is a lot of noises:)Nightlife is unique in Patong so noises are definitely unavoidable. Still, my family and I have enjoyed our 2 nights stay at the Royal Paradise:)

Stayed here for 15 nights (single female traveller)....Checked in at Midnight, friendly check-in, room was fantastic. View in the morning was amazing, balcony on 2 sides of the room, (I was on the 14th floor) breakfast great, fantastic choice (you have to ask for bacon though)...Used room service a few times, very good, and fast, friendly service. Room cleaning was always done well by friendly staff... pool was great, not too busy...pool attendants were pretty miserable all the time but they were the only staff like that. In a great area, right in the heart of things, beach 10 minute walk, markets everywhere, 7 elevens everywhere, great restaurents for every budget....lots of massage places outside the hotel, Thai Thai, was great, get an oil massage 300baht, $12 Australian.
Did a few tours, booked on the street, (ask for the best price, I did a Phi Phi Island tour for 700baht - advertised in the brochure for 2200 baht). Absolutely loved this hotel and place, Patong is a great base, friendly people, bit seedy at night-time, but apart from that I love it and planning on going back next year and asking for the same room..(Also booked the room on a last minute site paid $680aus for 15 nights in the super superior room..BARGAIN!!!!!!!!! Did request a great room on a higher floor)

The experience at Royal Paradise was great. We had stayed there for 2 nights and enjoyed every bit of it. The rooms were just awesome and very clean. I am very fussy about cleanliness specially the washroom. But to my surprise, everything was just perfect in the rooms. The staff was very polite and caring. The food was great, the indian food served was also very delicious. I would say it was one of the best hotels I have stayed in.

This is a good enough hotel in a great location only a few mins walk from Bangla Road but far enough away not to get the hassle. That said it is in the middle of the Gay area (which is only about 2 streets) and there are plenty of other bars and restaurants nearby. Its about 10 mins walk from the Beach.
I was staying in the Royal Wing, which I beleive is the new bit - and the rooms were large, clean and comfortable. That said I beleive they'd lost an opportunity to make the rooms 'luxurious". The bathroom was very impressive but the room in general was good, but not luxurious. Had a couple of treatments in the Spa which were OK but better and cheaper are available elsewhere - which is why it was empty I guess.
Only negative comment would be food. Better and cheaper is available nearby - Breakfast was OK, as it was included, but I wouldn't have paid for it. Overal a good enough, comfortable, clean hotel with a nice pool in a good location . I would stay again but I'm sure there are just as good, and better hotels nearby.

located so close to everything whichmay not suit everyone but great for us (group of 14 altogher including children) hotel was very clean rooms fine (some of us did get super superior which had been renovated, but a couple did not and they were still fine) we were in paradise wing and supposedly rooms in royal wing better but that is closer to gay area and lower floors which menas very noisy.
Pool area lovely, swim up bar nice but be prepared to pay a lot more for your dinks there. staff very friendly and helpful, cannot fault ir really as a lot of negative reviews had me worried. Rooms cleaned daily and sheets/towels changed often.
Nice bar area with cabaret nightly but no atmosphere at all, good place to arrange to meet especially between 6 & 7as happy hour so two for one. felt totally safe there so did kids even walking through the gay area to get to beach was not a probelm as thai people so freindly.
